Discovery Flight

Curious about flying? A Discovery Flight is the perfect way to experience the thrill of flight from the pilot’s seat; No experience necessary! You’ll get a hands-on introduction to flying a small aircraft with a certified flight instructor by your side, all while taking in the stunning views over Northern Nevada. It’s not just a ride, it’s your first step toward becoming a pilot.
Private/Commercial Pilot Instruction
Cost:
• $80/hour - Private Pilot
• $90/hour Advance Certificates for Commercial and Transition Training
Duration: A la carte at hourly intervals
Requirements: Must be signed up with High Sierra pilots club or another affiliated flight school.
Serious about becoming a pilot, and want one-on-one instruction from a Certified Flight Instructor? Schedule private lessons with Alpenglow Aviation to get your ground certification, or to log hours in the air.
Ground Instruction
Cost: $80/hr
Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
Requirements: None!
Whether you're working toward your Private Pilot, Commercial, or Instrument Rating, solid ground instruction is key to becoming a safe and confident pilot. I offer personalized one-on-one sessions that cover everything from aerodynamics and weather to regulations and systems—tailored to your needs and experience level.
I also offer oral exam prep to help you feel confident and ready when it's time to sit down with the examiner.
Available in person or remotely over Zoom!
Ferry Flight
Cost: $500/day + lodging and expenses
Duration: N/A
Requirements: Available for Cessna, Piper, and tailwheel aircraft
Need to move your aircraft but can’t make the trip yourself? I offer reliable, professional ferry flight services to get your plane safely from point A to point B. Whether it’s a relocation, post-maintenance delivery, or a new purchase, I’ll handle the planning and execution with the same care and precision I bring to flight instruction. Aircraft must be airworthy and properly insured.
